"Koholint Island" by emseeitch

"Have you found yourself washed up on Toronbo Shores? Now’s the perfect time to explore KOHOLINT ISLAND! Home of many fantastic sights such as Kanalet Castle, Catfish’s Maw and Eagle’s Tower!

Visit the House by the Bay for a dose of nostalgia!

Get lost in the Mysterious Woods!

Ascend Tal Tal Mountain Range and see the Wind Fish’s Egg!

Try and find your way through the Signpost Maze!

Meet new friends in Animal Village!

Splash your way through Goponga Swamp!

Awaken the walrus to explore Yarna Desert!

Get your adrenaline rush on the Rapids Ride!

We hope that you enjoy your stay but remember to leave all musical instruments where you find them and keep noise to a minimum - the Wind Fish is sleeping!”

Inspired by (and using a similar colour palette to) the often overlooked Nintendo Game Boy masterpiece, the Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening.

I’ve never designed a t shirt before but I wanted to create a wearable homage to my favourite Zelda game. This project has been in development for a couple of years now and has caused me a lot of frustration! (It got abandoned and restarted quite a few times) I think that because the game means so much to me, I needed this design to be the best that it could be and I now feel as ready as I’ll ever be to publish it!

I MIGHT submit it into a daily tshirt site like Teefury or Qwertee but for just now you can buy prints and tshirts on Society6!

Here’s a wee run down of my latest gaming exploits, given that I actually found some time this week to play!
Scott surprised me with Wind Waker! So I have abandoned my Gamecube save file and started again. It is BEAUTIFUL. I hope it doesn’t take me too long to get to where I was, the Triforce shard quest.
We borrowed Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag and although I’m not usually a fan of realistic looking violent games, it was a lot of fun and actually very Wind Waker-ish so I reckon I got on ok. It’s quite cheap now so I’ll be buying it when pay day rolls around :)
We also finished Super Mario 3D World. I say “we” because even though I played most of the game myself, the Cat Bowser level was stressing me out and making me angry so Scott took over and succeeded. I kind of expected more worlds to open up but there are plenty of secret areas I haven’t explored so I’ll go back to it later…
Later on I returned to my weed-filled Animal Crossing town and participated in the egg hunt, which was the most Easter-y thing I did all weekend.
Months after completing it, I feel like I’m now ready to return to Link Between Worlds and try hero mode. This’ll maybe keep me going until Kirby comes out in May!

Video Game Easter Eggs

Written by Melissa Oliver

It is no surprise to anybody who knows me that I am a sucker for holidays, games and home-made crafts. So naturally, I needed to combine the three and celebrate Easter the best way I know how; Video Game Easter Eggs!
